We are glad to announce our next WINTER event. It will take place next 23 / 24 November 2012 as usual between 18:00 and 22:00 both days. Everybody is welcome.
This time we are having quiet a nice surprise with the style and the artist; any idea who will be?
As a clue...  REALISTIC ART!

Dear Artists, Friends & Followers.

It has been a while since our last post; actually since our last FLASH event. The main reason has been our heavy fight in trying to keep our path in good and perfect performance to be able to support the art & artists.
Worldwide resecion, personal motifs and daily life have been a bit of a stumbling into our goals to allow us to continue, produce and present quality works, acts & events.
All those reasons have made us to stop, evaluate and think before we continue. We believe in quality, not quantity, and that is why we have been quiet. We hope you can understand us.

Now, despite all outside news, we seem to have got our mind in peace, clear ideas, back to our contacts and are moving. We are actually preparing our next tertulia with the artists, we are already with many ideas for the next exhibition; we hope we can come back to you shortly with more feeds. We are still alive.

Quiero aprovechar este pequeno espacio de mi BLOG, para ayudar a difundir noticias, eventos y actividades que sean de mi interes y que de alguna manera considere puedan ser de utilidad e interes para otras personas amantes del arte.

Inicio esta andadura con lo que considero un EVENTO excepcional en el mundo del arte como es la noticia que nos han brindado los diarios de Barcelona. En este caso me refiero a LA VANGUARDIA y EXPANSION, ambos diarios que nos explican con todo detalle la gran noticia de la retrospectiva que se rinde al artista Damien Hirst, con sus titulares como son:

WINTER EVENT 2011. (20 & 21 January 2012)

BRIEFS from the Director.

Despite the heavy worldwide economical crissis, FLASH GALLERY BCN has hold the winter event with high optimism and great results.
To our suprprise we must say, once more again, as usual it was a great success, not only for the sales, but also the feed back from our guests about the quality of the exhibition.
We had many positive critics about the artists that participated, specially from the debutant Colombian artist established in Berlin, Catalina Orjuela. Her art was greatly admired from the point of view of her style and sensations; the paradigma between the images and colour combinations. She also had a great feed back from the power to manipulate the human figure, specially the face traces.
Not to forget to mention Mr. Daniel Meakin, the young British artist, establish already for a while in Barcelona and his critics. Some people that have known his art quiet well for the last few years, commented on how Daniel' s work had a Re- birth of his previous style, with pieces of art more foresfull in terms of thema; meaning quite a clear distinction on his intention what to create; a Re- birth to his Naive style.

All those comments are good enough for us, but they did not ended here.
We were greatly congratulated and encourage to continue with the new part on this exhibition. This was the African Corner as we called it, where we presented 12 exquisite unique pieces of art. All of them came from various countries of Africa, but were delicate selected with the help & support from our professional dealer Mamadou.

On this occasion we have also celebrated 3 years of existance since we commence our long road journey in the difficult world of art, artist and institutions. We have been encourage to continue with our big cruzade for supporting artist and their art in the philantropic way we have been doing it; meaning as a NON PROFITABLE ORGANIZATION that we are.

AUTUM EVENT.

Last October we have celebrated our Autum event. It was a great success & satisfaction in terms of attendance as well as business support to our artist.
Our guess artist was Matt Sesow, he came from Washignton DC in company of his wife Danna.
From Flash gallery BCN, as main artist it was Miquel Darbra.
As usual, we did have our very well appreciated FLASH MARKET corner. This space allow all the other artist to present and express their work in small format as well as have a "small" business oportunity too.
